About the Hall Management Trust The Barford Memorial Hall was built as a memorial to Charles Ivor Smith-Ryland who died in 1929. The Hall, and the land enclosed around it, were given in trust to the village of Barford by his son, Mr Charles M.T. Smith-Ryland, between November 1952 and September 1956. The Barford Memorial Hall was given – * physical and mental training Since those days the specific uses have changed but the basic purposes are the same. The Barford Memorial Hall is a registered Charity Trust and the members of the Committee of Management are the Trustees. The Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton Joint Parish Council is the Custodian Trustee. The committee consists of:- * Four elected members The Trust’s prime responsibility is to provide the general management of the Trust Premises and the arrangements for their use. This includes raising sufficient money by fees and fund raising to meet all expenditure in connection with the Trust Premises. |
